Villa Licia - Villa in Sicilia

“This is the perfect seaside villa. Immaculately clean, like brand new with every small detail considered over and above what you would expect. There is a huge outdoor kitchen at the back, for breakfast and barbecues, lovely modern bedrooms and bathrooms and a lounge area by the pool where we spent a lot of our time, it is beautifully lit at night. From brand new toiletries in the bathrooms, with coffee, tea, cold water, wine, milk, fruit, herbs and seasoning, olive oil, ice-creams in the freezer, mosquito repellent, first aid kits, an English music DVD, speakers for your iPhone, plug adaptors and more - it’s all there. Even mats for the beach and towels for the sun loungers. We were greeted by the host and he met us when leaving to check everything went well, he is a delightful and kind man. I can not recommend this villa highly enough, we didn’t want to leave and would have loved to stay longer. Location is great. A few yards from a clean, golden sand beach, local cafes, mini-supermarket, beach club and pizzerias in walking distance. Noto, Ragusa, Ispica and Marzamemi are close by for day-trips and Siracusa and Ortigia are within easy reach. The area is up and coming with lots of private villas with new ones being built, so go before it becomes too popular! We loved it so much we are already wanting to come back. Five stars!”

I think we were lucky in being one of the first families to stay there but everything was brand new and there was every facility we could need including toiletries, drinks, cooking essentials and more towels than we could ever use. The villa is secure, has good wifi, plenty of showers and TVs in every room (though we never needed them). The pool was perfect and the location is just across a sand dune to the beach with a great rosticceria just a couple of doors away - perfect for lunch. Sebastiano was a most gracious host and Francesco (the agent) was also extremely helpful. The area is very quiet and relaxing but close enough to easily visit some of the stunning towns nearby. Our first visit to Sicily and when we do go back this villa would be our first choice
